"ORIENTAL INSPIRATIONS" Exhibition at Tokonoma
June 12
For this exhibition Margaret has brought together works inspired by
he frequent travels in the Orient and expecially her love of Japanese and Chinese
dance. The exhibition's centrepiece are three large pairs of works depicting theatrical moments in Kabuki, Noh and Chinese Opera, in which she has skilfully combined gold leaf with acrylic on canvas. There
are also courtesans, unusual collaged works and lyrical landscapes.
